Tiger Park

Tiger-Park-banner The Pattaya Tiger Park is located at the Sukhumvit Road near Jomtien Second Road.Click here for the google maps directions.

I didn’t have high expectations for the Tiger Park as we are in Pattaya and most tourist attractions are all about money. But I must say this Tiger Park didn’t make me feel the same as other tiger parks, zoos or farms I’ve visited. Usually I feel bad for the kind of environment the animals have to live in and I feel like the tigers are robbed of their dignity.

The Tiger Park in Pattaya was much nicer, much cleaner, and much more comfortable for the tigers. They all had a lot of space to move and climb and had clean drinking water as well as a clean swimming pool. The trainers were keeping the tigers busy with exercise.

How they manage to keep the tigers calm with visitors in the cages without any drugs is a mystery to me. They don’t look drugged so I sure as hell won’t go into the cages! The only exception is the little cubs, they look adorable. That will be an item on my bucket list for when Dylan (our son, 9 months) is a bit older.

The Tiger Park is a small park, it won’t take too long to walk around. It is not accessible for wheelchairs or strollers. Maybe they would be able to let you do the tour backwards as the exit was wheelchairs accessible but the entrance had stairs. Just saying there might be a solution.

The walk around costs 200 Baht for adults. There is no dual pricing.
