Roast

roast-banner Roast is a restaurant which has 2 branches. One in Thonglor and one near BTS Phrom Phong Station in The EmQuartier. They describe themselves as a “casual all-day eatery”, but to me it’s far from casual. Maybe because I live in a town where you can’t even have eggs and toast anywhere, but still I don’t think I would label it casual even if I would live in Bangkok.

The first time I went there I didn’t know what to expect and only had an appetizer. Because it amazed me, I went back several times to try more of their menu. Everything I’ve ordered so far was spot on! I am a huge fan of their house made salt cod croquettes! Although my goal is to try all of their appetizers I just can’t resist ordering them on the side to share with whoever is in my company.

Roast-appetizer

The main courses I’ve tried so far were to die for! The burgers are so succulent. The steak was butter-soft and baked exact as far as I asked for. And the fries! As a Belgian I’m so happy I tried the fries. These homemade fries are actually similar to the famous Belgian fries (not french fries, they are different). These are also fried twice and rested in between. I cried a little of happiness when I had my first fry there.

Roast-food

I’m not a big fan of sweets, but as the appetizers, main courses and even the drinks were amazing, I had to try some desserts. As I suspected the desserts were finger licking good! If you have a sweet tooth I suggest you save some room for dessert.
